Friday Five
1. What is your favorite time of the year?
The last day of school. We go on a field trip to the Palm Springs Swim Center, and spend the day in the sun - far, far away from the chaos that is the last day of school. The following day, of course, is FREEDOM! ;-)
2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season?
I would have to say it's a toss up between Autumn and Spring. I love Spring because it's refreshing and new and everything is coming alive. I love seeing the flowers budding, and the trees getting their new leaves. There's also a joy in knowing that Winter is finally over, and the weather starts getting beautiful. Yep, I do enjoy Spring. However, there is something about Autumn that can't be replaced - the changing colors. Since I've moved out here to southern California, I don't get to see much of that changing color, though. Driving through the country, passing all the vibrantly colored trees...there's nothing like it! It's simply amazing.
3. What is your least favorite time of the year?
The time that surrounds Valentine's Day. I have never ever been in a relationship during this holiday - ever! I don't normally get depressed or anything, but I do find myself feeling a big glum, dwelling on the fact that yet another Valentine's Day comes and goes, and I'm still single! *heheh* I might as well say January-February because by then I am tired of Winter, and I just want Spring to come around!
4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons?
I don't think I have ever really "celebrated" a time of the year outside of the holidays. I would like to do some Spring cleaning this year, though. My house really needs it!
5. What's your favorite thing to do outside?
I love taking walks and riding my bike. Now that I have my dog, Lucky, we both enjoy walks outside.
(When do you capitalize the seasons anyway? I used to know this.....heheh)
