Topic: July 2002 - "Too Much Information"
Dear Maggie,
I've been thinking a little bit about what we talked about yesterday. Your life has changed so much since you've gone off to college (and graduated), and I realize that change is inevitable, but there are some concerns that I have for you. Please hear me out and take this for what it is: advice.
We've talked about how much you enjoy talking to so many different people around the world and all of the friends that you've made. I know that it pleases you to do that, but I worry about you. Yes, I'm your mother so I am allowed to not only worry, but to tell you that I worry.
I know that you are careful and that you are a good judge of character, but do you ever fear giving out too much information to these people that you don't really know? With all of the bad things happening in the world, I just want you to make sure that you are being safe. I trust you to do what's best for you.
I love you, and want only what's best for you. Keep enjoying life, Maggie, for you only get to live it once.
