Winona Ryder--She was charged with four counts of felony today. Why is anyone surprised. Cameras seem to have caught her doing things. A saleswoman testified regarding her observations. Why shouldn't there be a trial?Why should she get off without paying the consequences for what she allegedly did? Yes, she should be tried. If she is not guilty, then her case will be proved at trial. Too often famous people get away with their crimes. They are people just like all of us, and they should be treated as such.
There are so many terrifying kidnappings and murders that involve children lately that I am seriously considering boycotting the news again. I am seriously getting very saddened by all of the things going on; it's making me sick.
I have been following the murder trial of the VanDamm girl very little. However, it makes me so mad to see that the parents are being questioned and questioned about their lifestyle. Granted, it might not have been an ideal one for the safety of their children, but does that make it "okay" for a man to come in, kidnap her and then kill her? I think not. It just gets me all riled up to see the defense taking this route. Her parents have kinks. Her parents smoke marijuana. Neither of those things makes it okay for someone, friend or foe, to come into their home, take their child, and kill her. Grrr...
There was a little boy who apparently drowned in a friend's pool during a birthday party, but he wasn't found until two days later. How very sad. The parents' attorney spoke to the press today and said that there would be a lawsuit against the owners of the pool. The little boy was in the pool the whole time, but no one realized that he was there, even after he was missing--the police had searched the pool. Now the police are being criticized because they didn't find the boy the first time. Would he be alive if they had found him? It doesn't seem to be the case. I guess if I had kids, I'd be looking for anyone to blame my baby's death on, too. It's all just so very sad.
There are more stories about kids disappearing lately. So many more. Who needs terrorists when we've got psychos right here in our own country?
